SAWA Documentary Short Film

This film is more than a compelling story. It is a lifeline to many living in poverty, giving skills to provide for their families.

In the hills of Rwanda, Rigobert paints — and the world should see it.

Rigobert Uwiduhaye is a master painter and entrepreneur whose canvases hold the memory of a country and the imagination of what it is becoming. SAWA is a documentary short that follows Rigobert into his studio, his community, and his craft.

Directed by Afton McNatt and produced by BAMFAM Films, SAWA will travel the international film festival circuit — bringing Rigobert's story to audiences who need to witness it.
